Grand Café is a recently established brand that promotes the social and economic benefits of certified coffee. It has certifications from Rainforest Alliance, Soil Association and Fairtrade.
The brief was to visually re-think and revitalise the brand, creating designs that will not only communicate what great coffee Grand Café is, but also the good that it does.
The logotype I created has incorporated a coffee bean and the G from Grand. I tried to keep the vibe of the logo between innovative and retro.
The main source of the coffee beans is South America: Peru, Colombia, Brazil etc. And there are four type of products: Grand Café Rainforest, Grand Café Fairtrade, Grand Café Triple Certified, Grand Café, Fairtrade Decaf.
I use for each product package traditional patterns that would represent the country from which the coffee beans originated, creating in this way a strong brand identity.
I think the packages are eye catching and because they are different from the usualy packages they can have a big rate of success.
